Pitch deck and business case: reviewed before money moves.

Whether you are raising capital or about to invest: we read the pitch deck, business case, financial model and business model as critically as an experienced investor would, with a view shaped by banking, consulting, building fintech companies and founding businesses. You learn what holds up, what is missing and which questions are coming your way.

  • €690for founders, before you meet investors
  • from €1,490for investors, a second opinion before you decide
  • Confidentialwith a non-disclosure agreement on request

Two sides, one standard.

  • For founders

Before you face investors, we go through your pitch deck and business case as if we were sitting on the other side of the table. Story, numbers, capital needs and your ask: you walk into the meeting with answers, not hopes.

  • For investors and business angels

You are looking at a start-up and want a well-founded second opinion. We analyse the pitch deck, VC documents, business case and business model and show you where the assumptions hold, where they do not and which questions to put to the team.

What we review.

We read everything in full and check the documents for consistency, plausibility and completeness.

Business model
How does the company make money, which problem does it solve for whom, and why now?
Market and competition
Market size, target customers, competitors and whether the positioning really stands out.
Business case and assumptions
Pricing, conversion, growth and costs: are the assumptions grounded, or do they just look good?
Financial model and key figures
Revenue and cost planning, cash flow, burn rate, runway and unit economics.
Capital needs and the ask
How much capital for what, up to which milestone, and does it fit the planned round?
Team and execution
Does the team fit the venture, and is the plan realistic in the time it allows?
Pitch deck and VC documents
Story, structure, executive summary and data room: is anything missing that investors expect?
Risks and red flags
What an investor will question first, and how solid the answers are.

Who reviews.

Michael Wild knows both sides of the table: as a manager in banking and consulting, as managing director building German operations for international fintech companies, and as a founder of several businesses.

Depending on the topic, we bring in our independent experts, for example Dr. Michael Sendker for business administration and financial planning or Christian Busch for technology and AI.

Meet the team

How the review works.

  1. 01

    Documents

You send the pitch deck and, if available, the financial model, executive summary and further documents. With a non-disclosure agreement first, if you wish.

  2. 02

    Analysis

We review business model, market, assumptions and numbers and check the deck against the financial model.

  3. 03

    Assessment

You receive a written assessment: strengths, weaknesses, open questions and clear recommendations.

  4. 04

    Debrief

We go through the points together, online or in person. Founders know what to sharpen, investors know what to ask.

Frequently asked questions

Which documents do you need?

At least the pitch deck. Ideally also the financial model, an executive summary and, if available, documents from the data room. An early-stage deck is fine too: we then focus on what is already there and on what is missing.

Do you treat my documents confidentially?

Yes. We use your documents only for the review. On request we sign a non-disclosure agreement before you send them.

Is this a due diligence?

Not in the legal or tax sense. We check business model, business case and numbers for plausibility and show where a deeper review by lawyers or tax advisers makes sense.

Can you connect me with investors?

Once your venture is ready, we open doors into our network of investors, advisors and corporates and prepare you for those conversations. This does not come with any funding commitment. More about our network

What if my start-up has no budget for a review?

Then the Founders Lab may fit: support in exchange for an individually agreed stake instead of a fee, for selected ventures and by application only.

Can we work in German as well?

Yes. We review documents in English or German and hold the debrief in either language.

Ready for a critical look?

Send us your pitch deck or the documents you want reviewed. We come back with an estimate of the scope and a quote.
